If you have been eagerly awaiting news on the xCloud browser port, then today is your lucky day because you can take a peep at what it actually looks like.

Testers Reveal xCloud Browser Screenshots

xCloud is currently available on a range of devices, but we're still waiting for Microsoft to release the browser version officially.

Details have been fairly scant... until now. According to a report by The Verge, "sources familiar with Microsoft's Xbox plans" claim "employees are now testing a web version of xCloud ahead of a public preview".

Don't forget, these are only images from testers, meaning that—while it is unlikely—Microsoft could change the look of the xCloud browser version entirely.

From screenshots, it looks like xCloud is set up much like the Android version, which is available on smartphones and tablets.

You can see recently added games at the top of the screenshot, followed by a "Coming Soon" section. Below that, you have various options to select a game genre of your choosing, with the full xCloud game library available at the bottom of the page.

How Do You Access xCloud in Your Browser?

Currently, you can't. The public version of xCloud's web port isn't available yet. Which means you must wait a little longer if you want to access xCloud through your browser. Allegedly, Microsoft has plans to reveal the service publicly in the second quarter of 2021.

Until then, you'll have to find other methods of accessing xCloud. Currently, you can only access the cloud gaming service on Android devices (you need the browser version to play on iOS, thanks to a spat between Apple and Microsoft).

Can You Access xCloud Games Any Other Way?

Well, yes and no. You can't access any titles on xCloud, so to speak. Not unless you use an Android device and the official Game Pass app to do so.

However, the games available on Microsoft's cloud gaming service are all available on Game Pass. In fact, you get access to xCloud as part of a Game Pass Ultimate subscription. So you can still access those games via your Xbox or a Windows PC.

So, in a word, yes. You can access those games another way. Just not using xCloud, unless you have access to the Android version.

Project xCloud on multiple devices

You shouldn't have long to wait until you can get hold of Microsoft's cloud gaming platform. Once xCloud has gone through testing, Microsoft will make any necessary changes before letting us all have a look and, hopefully not long after, a play on it, too.
